Inquiry: Uncommon Quilting - Jeanne Williamson

At 9PM we spend time with fabric artist JEANNE WILLIAMSON. In 1999 Jeanne decided to expand the limits of her understanding of her art, by making one small quilt a week for the entire year. This process encouraged her to think outside the box of how quilts can be made and what they can be made from and changed forever her concept of quilting. Materials like plastic fruit bags, dryer lint, coffee filters, coins and even stones all were incorporated into an amazing series of visually intriguing quilted works, many wonderful works of abstract art. Her beautiful book, which documents her explorations, is THE UNCOMMON QUILTER: SMALL ART QUILTS CREATED WITH PAPER, PLASTIC, FIBER AND SURFACE DESIGN.
