(Jason Yeager subbing for John Funkhouser) w/ Noah Preminger, tenor sax; Tim Lienhard, trombone; Tal Gamlieli, bass; Peter Moffett, drums. The Jason Yeager Group is comprised of some of New England's top up-and-coming jazz musicians, mixing striking original compositions with unique interpretations of old standards. Influenced by artists and styles as diverse as Thelonious Monk, J.J. Johnson, Brad Mehldau, Warne Marsh, Maurice Ravel and contemporary pop/rock/jam band music, this exciting group hopes to help revive the notion that music is a community endeavor, facilitating dialog, creativity, and celebration.
