Saxophonist John Payne, former sideman with Van Morrison and Bonnie Raitt, has been playing with his jazz quartet at Ryles regularly since 1980. With Adam Feldman on piano, Peter Tillotson on bass, and Rick Klane on drums, the quartet interprets jazz standards and not-so-standards in inventive, sensitive, and energetic ways.
