Stan McDonald's Blue Horizon Jazz Band

Formed in 1981, the Blue Horizon introduced classic jazz to the Sherborn Inn in 1989 and is acclaimed for its firm but flexible grasp of the hot and danceable tradition, from New Orleans to early swing.

Stan McDonald, soprano sax and clarinet, Jeff Stout, trumpet, Gerry Gagnon. trombone, Ross Petot, piano, Eric Baldwin, guitar and banjo, Al Ehrenfried, string bass, Dave Bragdon, drums, the members – whose ages span five decades – dig to the roots of jazz and present a varied and succulent repast, fulfilling their motto: The Future of the Music with a Past!
