Indian Hill Guitar Festival
Submitted by edshepherd on Mon, 10/27/2008 - 3:07pm.
Jamie Dunphy (guitar) and Greg Passler (guitar) will be performing a set of classical and jazz duets at 4:30pm as part of the third annual Indian Hill Guitar Festival.
This year's line-up also features performances and workshops by Indian Hill faculty Eric Baldwin, Greg Passler, Berit Strong, Matthew Wright and Jamie Dunphy, plus special guests, guitar historian Olav Chris Henriksen, blues guitarist Earl Pughe and jazz great John Baboian.
Educational activities are from 12-6, and dinner will be provided for participants staying for the 7:30 concert featuring John Baboian's fantastic group, BEBOP GUITARS. You are welcome to come for however much of the day you can, but I strongly encourage everyone to stay for this concert; this is a rare opportunity to see five of the area's finest guitarists all on one stage.

2nd Show 8:00pm
These days everyone seems to be obsessed with time; stopping time, to be more precise. Nobody wants to get old and everyone is running out of time. But the pan-Latin band Sol y Canto and their artistic collaborators Melodic Vision may hold the key to a musical fountain of youth: death! Or at least respect for it.
