Wonders of the Wurlitzer is a time-honored tradition in the City of Providence; people of all ages are welcome to attend and enjoy local organists demonstrating the impressive and rich sounds of this rare and mighty instrument.

The concerts are scheduled throughout the spring and fall and are supported by Providence Performing Arts Center's Annual Fund donors and our sponsors.

All musicians and spoken word performers are invited to participate in this weekly event. Come early to sign-in as a performer, or to get a great seat for one of the most successful and entertaining open mic nights on the East coast. Each Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night features a variety of new and experienced performers, followed by concert presentations by the featured artist of the evening. Come and see why TCAN has become the gathering spot to see and meet local artists and nationally recognized touring performers.

Storytelling is the only sensible explanation Loren Niemi can offer for thirty years as a professional storyteller, creating, collecting, coaching, performing and teaching stories to audiences of all ages in urban and rural settings.

Gary Fieldman Quartet (Jazz)

Description: 
Percussionist, composer and music educator, Gary Fieldman is active in a variety of musical genres throughout the US and Europe. He has performed with Joanne Brackeen, David Liebman, Bill Frisell, Ben Monder and Bevan Manson, and has recorded with Don Byron and George Garzone. In addition, Mr. Fieldman has been section percussionist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra for ten years and is currently principal percussionist with the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra–a touring ensemble performing exclusively in major European festivals including in Spain at the prestigious "Festival Internacional de Santader".
