Sergio Mendes Project

Event Date:
Saturday, October 6, 2012 - 7:00pm

An exciting tribute to the pianist and bandleader who popularized Brazilian music in the U.S. From Brasil '66 to 1992's Grammy-winning "Brasileiro" album and beyond, Sergio Mendes has brought his seductive sound to bossa nova, samba, jazz, and pop, introducing us to some of Brazil's best composers, including Edu Lobo, Ivan Lins, and Jorge Ben, and adding his own Brazilian flavor to classics by the Beatles, Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, and more. Evelyn Rosenthal + Linda Roberts, vocals; Molly Flannery, piano; Jason Davis, bass; Steve Rose, drums; Marcus Santos, percussion; Hiro Honshuku, flute and EWI.
