A Great Big World with Ian Axel / Allie Moss / Bess Rogers

Event Date:
Friday, December 14, 2012 - 8:00pm

The Red Room

A Great Big World is the new incarnation of Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino. Last year, Ian Axel released his debut album, This is the New Year, with title track featuring his songwriting partner Chad Vaccarino. Ian and Chad’s hit song “This is the New Year” was featured in Garry Marshall’s film New Year’s Eve, and was used as the theme song for MTV’s “I Used to Be Fat.” Additionally, Ian and Chad’s self-produced video racked up over one million hits on Vevo/YouTube. As a live act, the duo appeared on the nationally syndicated Rachael Ray show, completed their first national tour and opened for Ingrid Michaelson, Five for Fighting, and Glee star Matthew Morrison. Ian and Chad received critical acclaim from publications including NPR, SPIN, and New York magazine. However, they are most known for their playful live performances, which feature warm, engaging interplay with audiences, and are reminiscent of the intimacy and energy of performers like Randy Newman, Elton John, and Simon & Garfunkel.

This show also features Allie Moss and Bess Rogers.
