Dave Whitney-New England's Dean of traditional; and swing jazz brings his quintet in for a program of jazz favorites. Dave has been leading bands since 1971 and has been influenced by Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke and Bobby Hackett. He is also an engaging singer, He is also known for his work with the Yankee Rhythm Kings, White Heat Swing and Chris Powers Orchestras. Dave's group will feature music of the 20s,30s and 40s and will feature Christine Fawson on vocals and trumpet with Jon Wheatley,guitar-Mark Carlsen,bass and Reid Jorgensen,drums. www.christinefawson.net/
