Steven Feifke Septet

Event Date:
Thursday, January 23, 2014 - 7:30pm

New York based pianist, composer and arranger Steven Feifke has been called "a virtuoso and a highly communicative and creative musician" by Grammy award winning trumpeter Brian Lynch. Lynch goes on to say that "he is one of the brightest new talents to appear on the modern jazz horizon in some time."

At just 22 years old, Steven is making a name for himself as an artist to look out for. Since moving to New York City in 2009, Steven has been afforded the opportunity of performing and collaborating with some of the most recognizable names in jazz at venues throughout the world. In the fall of 2011, Steven was selected as a semifinalist to the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition.

As Steven's passion for music has grown, so has his penchant for writing. His original compositions and arrangements have been played around the world by artists such as Stefon Harris, Paul McCandless, Lenny Pickett, Bryan Lynch, Rich Perry, and Dave Pietro. Steven plans to release a full length album of original big band music in the Spring of 2014. Artist Official Website  Audio/Video Clip
