Ron Reid & His Rhythm Earth Ensemble

Ron Reid, and his Rhythm Earth Ensemble play improvised music and jazz infused with the rhythms of the English and French Caribbean. Ron will play his debut set at the Lily Pad with Santiago Bosch on keys, Sean Skeete: drums, Leandro Pellegino: guitar, Gustavo D’Amico: saxes and Ernesto Diaz: percussion

Ron Reid is a native of Trinidad and Tobago and a multi-instrumentalist who plays bass, steelpans, percussion and piano. His compositions and arrangements dig deeply into the folkloric rhythms of the Caribbean. A Boston resident for almost 30 years, Reid has also recorded several calypso and soca recordings throughout his career as well as jazz performances with Randy Weston, Carmen Lundy, Antonio Hart, David Wiliams and Dave Samuels.
