The Blood Mountain Brothers featuring Roger H. Brown
Blood Mountain is the tallest peak along the Appalachian Trail in Georgia and is alive with the spirit of Cherokee, who once inhabited that land around the mountain.
The Blood Mountain Brothers brings an acoustic, Americana vibe to some classic tunes from the folk, R&B, and southern rock traditions. This will be the band’s third appearance at The Red Room, and this one will be dedicated to the memory of Roger Brown Sr., the father of drummer and Berklee president Roger H. Brown Jr. The elder Brown was born in the southern part of Georgia and spent his whole life in the state, settling in the foothills of the northern Georgian mountains.
In addition to Roger H. Brown Jr. on drums, the Brothers are Mark Caddell (bass, voice), Richard Curzi (piano, voice), Paul Judge (guitar, voice), Jon Svetkey (guitar, voice), and Jim Wooster (guitar, voice).
