An award-winning classical pianist before jazz intervened “in the form of a Tommy Flanagan solo”, pianist/composer Helen Sung went on to graduate from the prestigious Thelonious Monk institute of Jazz Performance and win the Kennedy Center’s Mary Lou Williams Jazz Piano Competition.

Now captivating listeners everywhere with a riveting artistry that seamlessly integrates the jazz and classical worlds, Sung’s new album Anthem for A New Day (Jan.2014 release), which features Grammy-winning NEA Jazz Master Paquito D’Rivera and MacArthur Fellow Regina Carter, heralds a new chapter in her musical evolution and will be her debut recording for Concord Records.   Performance Clip
