James Montgomery CD Release
The James Montgomery Blues Band new CD will FINALLY be finished in November. There's talk that the long awaited CD "From Detroit To The Delta" may be nominated for a Grammy. The CD has many guest musicians including members of Aerosmith, Johnny Winter, James Cotton, DMC from the band Run DMC and others. The CD will be officially released after the 1st of the year, sometime before this show. James was featured in a movie with Morgan Freeman and Willie Nelson called “Delta Rising”. It was these trips to Mississippi that inspired the new CD.
The James Montgomery Band is currently going through one of it's best periods ever. In the past two years Steven Tyler, Huey Lewis, Jim Belushi, Honey Boy Edwards, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford from Aerosmith, Jay Geils, Billy Squier, James Cotton, the Uptown Horns, Kim Wilson, Barry Goodreau formerly of Boston, Johnny A, Grace Kelly, Duke Robillard, and Matt Kelly from the Dropkick Murphys are just a few of the artists who have performed on stage with the James Montgomery Band.
Open: The Travis Colby Band - "The new CD "Quick Fix is a big step for Travis Colby. This young musician has been a member of Roomful Of Blues for quite a while now, having written some songs for their albums. This new personal CD of Colby originals shows an interesting blueprint for what is destined to be an amazing career for him in the coming years and decades. We knew him when." - Bill Copeland
