Kevin So w/ Sasha Yatchenko opening (Folk Acoustic)

Event Date:
Friday, April 5, 2013 - 8:00pm
Kevin So has earned the respect of Amos Lee, Billy Bragg and playwright David Henry Hwang, and has built a loyal fan base around the world for the past 15 years. He has performed on the main stages at Falcon Ridge and Kerrville, and more recently at Carnegie Hall and The Ryman in Nashville. His songs have been recorded by Keb' Mo' ("Crush On You" as a duet with soul songstress India Arie and "Talk"), Shemekia Copeland ("Sounds Like The Devil") and Big Wide Grin ("Individual"). "A wonderfully endearing performer and presence" - MM Sasha Yatchenko started singing and writing at a very young age. By the time she was 12 she had accumulated a good amount of original material. Her keen sensitivity to the world around her came through in her beautiful melodies and lyrics that touched those who had had the pleasure of hearing her perform. Over the course of the next year, she was able to record six of her original tunes on her debut EP, Wednesday Night Sessions, which was released in January, 2009. In 2010 Sasha began collaborating with producer Jorge Corante of Los Angeles based Urban Authentic. With Jorge's production and guidance, Sasha earned her first movie song credit in the independent film Adultolescence with her original tune "Far Away". Ticket Prices: $18 (Stu/Sen $17, Mem $15, Child U12 $9)
