Latin America VIVE Music Festival at Berklee
The production will showcase different expressions of contemporary Latin American music in all its rich and diverse musical styles. From salsa to Andean music, boleros and chacareras, to Latin jazz and fusion, the festival will shine a spotlight on student talent and new compositions, including an 11-piece band created specifically for this event.
“Latin America Vive comes as a result of all many accomplishments from Berklee Latin community and it is our next effort to create a space that nurtures the growth of the future of Latin American music, said LAMFV advisor, professor Mili Bermejo (Mexico), and music director, assistant professor, Nando Michelin (Uruguay). “Since music is always evolving, we'd like to think that we're contributing so our students, each year more talented, will have a stage to feature their new works."
