Savoy Brown featuring Kim Simmonds (Sawtelle Room)
One of the earliest of British blues bands, SAVOY BROWN (with founder guitarist Kim Simmonds at the helm) helped launch the UK blues/rock movement that paved the way for such acts as Led Zeppelin. The current line-up is David Malachowski, Gerry Sorrentino, Mario Staiano and is led as always by Kim Simmonds. With more than 3 decades behind them, they continue to be a powerful and important blues/rock/boogie act for the new millenium. Their newest release, "Too Much Of A Good Thing: The SAVOY BROWN Collection 1992 - 2007" is not so much a "best of " CD, but a compilation of favorites from the last 15 years of Savoy Brown recordings. www.SavoyBrown.com
