The Signature Music Series – The Great American Songbook: The Music of Quincy Jones
Producer, arranger, conductor, film composer, and trumpeter Quincy Jones has been at the forefront of modern American music since his years as a student at Berklee in the 1950s. He has arranged for Dizzy Gillespie and Frank Sinatra; produced Michael Jackson, Miles Davis, and Ray Charles; scored Oscar-winning films; and has received 27 Grammy Awards.
Tonight, Berklee students and faculty pay tribute to “Q” with new arrangements of his enduring music in honor of his 80th birthday. Featuring special guests including Siedah Garrett.
