Stormin' Norman and Friends
Stormin Norman Zamcheck, pianist, singer-songwriter burst on the scene in the 70's with his group "Stormin' Norman & Suzy," and has been honing his composition skills and New Orleans style piano chops ever since.
Billy Novick is a world-renowned jazz reed player, composer and arranger. He has been a regular feature of folk and jazz clubs with his collaboration with Guy Van Duser, appeared in jazz festivals in the U.S. and Europe, and has accompanied a constellation of famed artists including David Bromberg, Bonnie Raitt ,J. Geils and Martha and the Vandellas.
Didi Stewart is a major vocalist on the Boston jazz and rock scene, working regularly around town with "Didi Stuart and Friends,""Girls' Night Out" along with other ensembles. She has recorded two albums, Didi is the winner of two Boston Music Awards for Best Female Rock Vocalist and the Encore Award for Best New Cabaret Performer.
John Gerry Putnam has been both leading his own blues bands and working as a sidemen in groups since he lived in Boston in the seventies. He worked with Norman in the mid seventies, and has been a regular member of the Real Stormin Norman band in New York City for four years. John is one of the most sought after blues guitarists in New York, leading the wildly successful weekly jams at American Trash Bar on the East Side, Studio jams and performances.
