Storyteller Helena Leet-Pellegrini (Comedy)
One of Boston's dynamic storytellers Helena Leet-Pellegrini has appeared at numerous storytelling and comedy venues in Massachusetts. She was an award winner at the Big Mouth Off -- grande finale of the 2011 Story Slam Season. Her one-woman show at the Boulder Colorado Fringe Festival, and Passim's in Cambridge, included "The Luigi Code," a moving, humorous look at growing up in an immigrant family with an anarchist grandfather.
"At times side-splittingly funny, at times quietly thoughtful and poignant, the performance was consistently and deeply engaging." - Paul Wasserman
"Captivating and compelling, Helena tells stories of her own life and family, trials and triumphs. Her gift for language and imagery takes audiences on grand journeys of hope." - Laura Packer, acclaimed folklorist/storyteller.
Tonight Helena will share stories from different parts of her journey through life: "Living Out Loud" (journey to creative expression), "From Worry to Wisdom" (mother journey), and "Love Follies Over Time" (journey through relationship).
