The Twangbusters bust into The 1794 Meetinghouse Concert Series, bringing their musical cocktail of jumpin' jukejoint boogie, blues & bop!
The Twangbusters are all well-known roots music masters who have a blast every time they're on stage. Spitfire "Miss Paula" Bradley leads the band on piano, ukulele and vocals described as "Patsy Cline meets Bessie Smith". No stranger to Northeastern audiences, she is one of the founding members and lead singers of honkytonkers "Girl Howdy". She has also toured with old-time darlings "Uncle Earl" (on vocals and banjo), as well as recorded and toured with acoustic music powerhouses Tony Trischka and Bruce Molsky. In addition to finding gems of American roots music, she adds several of her original compositions to the mix.
Joining her are "busters" Peter "Dr. Z" Zarkadas (Sarah Levecque Band, Raw Symphony) on electric guitar, Brian Rost (Tarbox Ramblers, Girl Howdy) on upright bass, and Capt. Billy Nadeau (The Derailers, Junior Brown) on drums. Together as "The Twangbusters", they deftly mix the best of bluesy country, boogie woogie and barrelhouse into a potent musical cocktail - you’ll be shaken & stirred! www.facebook.com/twangbusters; www.reverbnation.com/twangbusters.
