What Time Is It Mr. Fox? with special guest Erich Haygun

Event Date:
Friday, February 21, 2014 - 8:00pm

Every song by the band What Time Is It, Mr. Fox?—named after the Victorian children's game—musically carries the listener to a new setting, fictional realm, or time period, from the woods of Medieval France to a 1920s New Orleans jukejoint to the halls of Valhalla. Led by the gender-defying voice of 3rian King, the ensemble explores love, sex, and identity with cinematic violin, upright bass, artful drums, jazz trumpet, Hammond organ, and five female vocalists known as The Furies.

As a writing performer, Erich Haygun has represented Boston, MA, Providence, RI and Vancouver, BC at international poetry competitions and has toured throughout North America and Europe. His work has been called "tender, yet violent" by the Boston Globe, combining deadly serious social commentary with a flair for unpredictable live performances. Haygun is also a volunteer outreach speaker and poet laureate for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, an organizer and recording artist for the DIY record label/ social anarchy The Whitehaus Family Record and producer of the monthly omnigenre variety show CHEAP SEATS.
