Labor Day (plus 1)

Date:
Tuesday, September 6, 2011 - 7:00pm

On the Tuesday after Labor Day, the Bluegrass Junction will pay tribute in song to the working men and women who make America strong. We will have songs about truck drivers, farmers, mill workers and others. Of course there will be plenty of songs about coal miners. There are so many Bluegrass songs about the plight of this exploited lot including recent collections and Kathy Matea’s wonderful themed album, “Coal”. They symbolize all workers in our struggle to provide for ourselves and our families.
