SigFest 2012: A Fundraiser for Lung Cancer Research

This event features a diverse mix of locally based talents and genres, including the a cappella sounds of Spectrum Reflections, the poetic folk and magnificent finger picking of Craig Sonnenfeld, the intricate harmonies of jazz vocalist Kris Adams, and the fabulous groove of Lee Adler, Regie Gibson, Herman Johnson, and Steve Lamb.

Compaq Big Band

The Compaq Big Band showcases the power of 14 horns, a cookin rhythm section, the incomparable Rebecca Holtz on vocals, and terrific instrumental soloists. Formed in 1975, the ensemble is one of the longest continuously operating full-size big bands in New England. They perform over three dozen times a year, for a diverse range of clients and events across the Greater Boston, Greater Worcester, Rhode Island, and Southern New Hampshire regions.

Zach Baldwin-Way Quartet & Jazz Writers' Collective

A mandolinist, violist, and composer, Richard "Zach" Baldwin-Way's musical interests tend to lie somewhere between the genres of Appalachian Folk, Classical, and Jazz. For tonight he has composed a series neo-folk/classical inspired pieces for string quartet.

Kevin Harris Project

When the unmistakable musical influences of Thelonious Monk, Danilo Perez, and Charlie Parker intersect with J.S. Bach, Scott Joplin, and the folkloric rhythms of Cuba, could one possibly conceptualize the celebration that occurs at that intersection? Boston-based jazz pianist Kevin Harris plays a distinctive combination of traditional and contemporary music that seeks to explore such a crossroads.

Roberto & Kathryn is a unique vocal/guitar jazz duo featuring Kathryn Howell, vocals and Roberto Mighty, guitar and vocals. Roberto & Kathryn are most often compared to Tuck & Patti, Diana Krall, Michael Bublé and Earl Klugh

Their repertoire ranges from standards to contemporary songs and originals, but they're well known for romantic, intimate, sensuous interpretations.
