Anais Mitchell & Jefferson Hamer - Child Ballads, Eamon O'Leary opens

7:00pm Show SOLD OUT

Picture this American scene: two friends rolling down I-40 somewhere outside Nashville, singing out the open window. The backseat is a jumble of guitars, boots, takeaway plates from a roadside BBQ, and paperback books. But the song? The song goes like this: “As I walked out over London Bridge, on a misty morning early…” And the books? A five-volume set of The English and Scottish Popular Ballads—the Child Ballads (For the uninitiated, these aren’t kids’ songs—they’re a nineteenth century anthology named after their collector, Sir Francis James Child).

Freedy Johnston, Pete Donnelly opens

Freedy Johnson dropped out of college after one semester and took a dead-end job at a local diner. If destiny wasn’t calling Johnston, something was. So he packed up his things and headed east to New York City, pawning his favorite guitar to pay for the trip. He hoped to send money home to buy the guitar back. It sold before he got the cash together.

Ezekiel's Wheels

Internationally-recognized klezmer ensemble Ezekiel’s Wheels brings passion, virtuosity, and contagious energy to every performance. The Wheels improvise with the intimacy of chamber music and the intensity of a rowdy dance band. They are equally at home on the stage of the International Jewish Music Festival, where judges heralded them as “a true musical democracy,” as in the classroom, where sixth-grade student Jonathan raised his hand to tell them, “Y’all got swag.”

Lori McKenna CD Release

All Shows SOLD OUT except April 4th, 9:30pm

My name is Lori McKenna. I am releasing my 6th full-length studio record in April 2013. It is called MASSACHUSETTS.

I’m a housewife and a townie. I am a songwriter – or song chaser depending on the day. A song can be a tricky thing – no matter how simple it is. And most songs have a tendency to haunt me. But I believe that blessings come in disguise and that demons do too. And that, if we work it out right, our demons can be our blessings.
