The Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night at TCAN has been a tradition since the opening of The Center years ago. And we could try to describe this event by mentioning all the significant songwriters and talented musicians who have played and sung and captured a special moment in time.

But the TCAN Folk/Acoustic Open Mic night isn't about individuals so much as it is about a community. Everyone is welcome to perform – the event starts at 8pm but sign-up starts at 7:30pm. Hosted alternate weeks by Mark Stepakoff.

Admission: non-member $5 member $0

Imagine in the middle of a job interview being asked the following question: “You are shrunk to the height of a nickel and thrown into a blender. Your mass is reduced, so your density is the same as usual. The blades start moving in 60 seconds. What do you do?” For some years now, corporations like Google, Microsoft and even Walmart have begun to ask applicants tough thought problems and odd riddles that are meant to showcase how an applicant can creatively solve problems. How hard are these questions?
