Jazz Day Celebration

We celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month and the City of Worcester on Friday, April 13th in the performance studio as Mayor Joe Petty declares "Jazz Day." The mayor will make the official proclamation while you enjoy the sounds of the WICN-Worcester Jazz All-Stars. Dick Odgren, Bob Simonelli, Rich Ardizone, Pete LeVeque & Mark Holovnia will perform on this special day.  Tune in at 2 pm on Friday and help us celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month!!!

Alive With Dance

Alive With Dance presents an evening of dance, showcasing projects by seven senior dancers from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Thursday only also features the Doo Wop Shop during intermission.

UMass Presents The Emerging Choreographers Series .

Twelve talented emerging choreographers explore the complexity of human relationships through the powerful language of dance. The show consists of various dance works choreographed and performed by University of Massachusetts dancers. 

ECS features the choreography of Rachel Aylward, Sonja Brigham, Kristen Connolly, Melissa Frascella, Amanda Fredette, Jeff Gugliotti, Jaxon Hall, Megan Kelly, Brittni Laquidara, Katie Lovell, Ellen Saltzman and Rebecca Steinberg.

Duke Ellington comes to Peterborough!

Duke Ellington’s music comes LIVE to the Peterborough Town House as the Monadnock Chorus presents selections from the Sacred Concerts, what Duke called his “most important works.” This is the first time that Ellington’s Sacred Concerts will be performed in the Monadnock Region! Collaborating in this one-of-a-kind event are over 100 singers from the Monadnock Chorus and Keene State College, 17 professional musicians from the Amherst Jazz Orchestra led by Dave Sporny, and tap dancers from the Monadnock Performing Arts Academy.

We also will learn why Pluto was downgraded to a mere dwarf planet and take a mind-blowing trip descending through the atmosphere of Jupiter. “The great thing about the solar system is that it continually confounds our expectations.”

Please join us for the 7th Annual JazzSunday benefit concert for the Boston Children’s Chorus featuring Kyle Miles & Friends. Come relish in an upbeat afternoon of live jazz music from a group of young professional musicians and support a great cause.

The JazzSunday benefit event was inspired by Branden Miles a singer of the Boston Children’s Chorus to help fund the significant expense of tour travel and to make it possible for all singers to participate.
