Neil Sedaka

Neil Sedaka is synonymous with popular music. For more than 50 years, he's written, performed and produced the soundtrack for America's collective psyche. Sedaka had a string of early-1960s pop hits, and his songs have been recorded by Frank Sinatra, Connie Francis, Elvis Presley and The Monkees, among others. Sedaka is truly a balladeer at heart.

Joining Judy Carmichael is British bassist Dave Green, and he discusses his long career playing with everyone from Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins, to his band with Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts.

Sons of Cream

The "Cream" were undeniably the first rock "supergroup" of the 1960s. And though they were together for less than 3 years, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton left a gigantic impression on the world of rock music forever. Now Ginger Baker's son Kofi, along with Jack Bruce's son Malcolm, team up with super guitarist Godfrey Townsend to pay humble tribute to the world's greatest power trio.

THE STOMPERS - 35th Anniversary Party!

The Legendary Stompers played their very first show in November 1977. The band has long been recognized for their raucous live shows; kept alive for more than three decades by a spirited legion of dedicated fans. The Stompers music appears in the John Sayles film,"Return Of The Secaucus Seven" and the cult classic, "Fraternity Vacation".

The Kennedys (Ballroom)

Pete and Maura Kennedy met at the Continental Club in Austin Texas. Within a year, they were touring together, as part of Nanci Griffith's band, and as the opening act on Nanci's two month tour of the British Isles. In a dusty little dressing room on the top floor of Dublin's Olympia theatre, they penned the songs that would become their first CD, "River of Fallen Stars". The CD was awarded the "Indie" award in 1995 for "Best Adult Contemporary CD" by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors.

Tret Fure (Ballroom)

Tret Fure’s career spans 4 decades. In the early 80s, Tret left the mainstream music industry. Armed with a fierce desire to retain full artistic control, she began exploring the independent side of the industry and soon discovered the blossoming genre known as Women’s Music.  She has been a major player in that field ever since, recording with and producing some of the best of women’s music including the legendary “Meg & Cris at Carnegie Hall”. She worked as a duo with Cris Williamson throughout the 90s releasing 3 CDs together during those years.
