Live Music in the Pub - Tom Lanigan Band

Tom Lanigan was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to America when he was sixteen. He grew up developing a great love for both Irish and American music. In the early 90’s, he started the folk/rock band Screaming Under Stars, which went on to open for The Commitments and Black 47. Since then Tom has been working full time, often in a band capacity but he has developed an extensive solo schedule also. He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with acts such as Solas, Makem & Spain, The High Kings and Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfetones.

Know Your Host:
Al Dean

Al grew up listening to the music of the 40’s on his father’s EH Scott radio and 78 records. Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Benny Goodman were family favorites. This is first experience in the broadcasting field and allows him to dig into his closet of old vinyls and share them with his audience on the Sunday afternoon edition of the Jazz Matinee.
