Berklee Artists Perform Free Concerts on Georges Island
Part of Berklee Summer in the City, Presented by Natixis Global Asset Management Berklee College of Music, Boston Harbor Island Alliance and the Boston Harbor National Park have joined forces for the fourth year to bring free live music to Georges Island one Saturday per month in June, July, and August. Visitors to historic Fort Warren on Georges Island will be captivated by the sounds of up-and-coming Berklee students and alumni performing rock, pop, blues, funk, soul, folk, and more.
Now in its 36th year, Richard Cambridge's Poetry Theatre features the original work of artists and poets. Richard Cambridge’s poetry and theater productions address controversial themes on the American political landscape. His poetry has appeared in The Paterson Literary Review, Nantucket Journal, Asheville Poetry Review and others.
Drummer Bill O'Connor Jr. leads small group jazz ensembles in the Boston area. Working in the trio, quartet, and vocal format, Bill's penchant for 1940's thru '60s standards is evident in his programming and performance.
