Chilly Gonzales "Piano Talk Show" ***CANCELLED***

Chilly Gonzales left Canada for Berlin in 1998. Daft Punk, Bjork remixes did him well, but it wasn't enough. So on to Paris, and collaborations with Feist on her Let It Die and The Reminder albums.

Mario Castro Quintet CD release show with special guest, Dave Liebman & Greg Osby

From Humacao, Puerto Rico, saxophonist Mario Castro began his musical studies at the age of 12, and later became interested primarily in jazz. He has performed in the Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Martha’s Vineyard Jazz Festival and Nancy Jazz Festival in France both as a sideman and leader. Mario has performed with a great variety of artists and groups such as the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra, Dave Liebman, Greg Osby, Giovanni Hidalgo, Humberto Ramirez, Mike Clark, Horacio “El Negro" Hernandez, Gene Perla and many more.

Billy Hart Quartet with Mark Turner, Ethan Iverson, and Ben Street

Strunz & Farah

Over the course of a stellar career that has spanned more than 30 years, saxophonist Kenny Garrett has become the preeminent alto saxophonist of his generation. From his first gig with the Duke Ellington Orchestra (led by Mercer Ellington) through his time spent with musicians such as Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers and Miles Davis, Garrett has always brought a vigorous yet melodic, and truly distinctive, alto saxophone sound to each musical situation.

California Guitar Trio

Chano Dominguez Flamenco Sketches

featuring Omer Avital, Bias Cordoba and Dafnis Prieto

The classic 1959 Miles Davis album, Kind of Blue, is hailed by many critics to be the greatest recording in jazz history. It is certainly the most popular, with over four million units sold. One of the its most haunting tracks is "Flamenco Sketches" and so it is fitting that Spanish flamenco jazz pianist Chano Domínguez provides a fresh take on the Davis masterpiece with his upcoming Blue Note record, Flamenco Sketches.
