CHRIS WARE: BUILDING STORIES

Artist CHRIS WARE has single-handedly re-defined the possibilities of the graphic novel form. His work is complex, serious and stunningly beautiful. His latest piece is titled BUILDING STORIES and consists of a large decorated box that contains books, newspapers, strips, booklets and even a printed board stand up that together relate the complex stories of the people that live in a large old building.

STEPHEN DIRADO: A SUMMER SPENT

Artist, photographer and teacher STEPHEN DIRADO has been taking deeply beautiful and mysterious black and white portrait photographs of people at the clothes optional beach in Martha’s Vineyard since 1988. Although Stephen has worked on numerous other interesting series of works, his Martha’s Vineyard series is certainly his longest running and most complex series.

“Calling these duets simply chamber music, would be selling them short,” writes Andrew Bartlett. “The music gallops through genres, all of which is touched uniquely by Feldman and Courvoisier's mix of sharp jazz chops, 20th-century chamber music, and traditional music of multiple stripes.”

Musaner

Musaner is a musical project directed by composer and pianist Ara Sarkissian. With regular performances at The Beehive, this uniquely evocative musical group encompasses original folk music compositions and arrangements from Armenia.
