Humble Tripe came to form as the music project of Shawn Luby. Luby, who spent 15 years as a young competitive classical guitar player, walked away from performance at age 20. He emerged ten years later as a song writer, perfecting the combination of haunting musical sensibility with equally matched insight into the stories of the human heart.

Sun, 03/11/2012 - 16:00

The John Funkhouser Trio will be playing all original music, some new, some old. Together for over 6 years, this telepathic band inhabits its own created musical universe, taking jazz as its starting point, but painting in so many colors and feelings that to try to categorize it would be folly. Think James Brown meets Chopin meets Zappa meets Philip Glass, or better yet, just come and find out for yourself.

Tickets: $15

Sat, 03/10/2012 - 20:00
