To Sergio with Love: The Sergio Mendes Project

An exciting tribute to the pianist and bandleader who popularized Brazilian music in the U.S. From Brasil '66 to 1992's Grammy-winning "Brasileiro" album and beyond, Sergio Mendes has brought his seductive sound to bossa nova, samba, jazz, and pop. He also introduced us to some of Brazil's best composers, including Edu Lobo, Ivan Lins, and Jorge Ben, and added his own Brazilian flavor to classics by the Beatles, Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, and more. Warning: this show may make you feel unreasonably happy, and has been known to result in actual dancing!
