Arts, sciences and humanities build healthier, more livable, vital communities. They are essential to a strong education system. They contribute enormously to our economy.
Inquiry welcomes back ADAM ZAHLER Associate Professor of Theatre and Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department of Worcester State University. Tonight, Professor Zahler talks about a very exciting and unique theatre production at the university: WAR CHILDREN which premier’s APRIL 18. This is a brand new play about the horrific experiences of young children who are abducted by rebel armies and forced to participate in torture, rape, and killing. War Children explores their experiences, recovery and rehabilitation. This play is an example of “devised theatre” in which the actors and others create and perfect the play from class to class and week to week. It’s a dynamic and exciting process.
