Tonight on Inquiry we have a special discussion about the new documentary ALL AGES: THE BOSTON HARDCORE FILM. In the early 1980s a dynamic homegrown music scene evolved around local hardcore rock bands. This included bands like S.S. Decontrol, Gang Green and Jerry’s Kids. The fans were loyal, independent, and very supportive of the local musicians. This unique music scene became famous around the country for its fierce “do-it-yourself” ethic and chaotic audience participation. The film ALL AGES captures all the energy and youthful bravado of this era in Boston through footage from the era as well as contemporary interviews with an amazing variety of people who were there.
