Inquiry: ADAM ZAHLER: Breaking The Code

Program:
Date:
Wednesday, March 23, 2011 - 11:23am

Inquiry welcomes back Stage Director and professor ADAM ZAHLER to talk about his next project directing Hugh Whitemore’s BREAKING THE CODE  at the Central Square Theater in Cambridge April 7 to May 8. Breaking The Code is an exciting and moving portrait of one of the great enigmatic minds of the Twentieth Century, Alan Turing. Turing broke the German Enigma machine generated codes and helped turn the tide of the war. He also did seminal work on information theory and how to measure the intelligence of machines. A complex and challenging man, he was gay at a time when most gays in Britain were jailed and ostracized. Tune in and learn about the joys and challenges on putting on such a unique play.
