Arts, sciences and humanities build healthier, more livable, vital communities. They are essential to a strong education system. They contribute enormously to our economy.
Can you imagine what the Doors songs would have sounded like if they had been created with acoustic guitars? Would ‘Light My Fire” or ‘Break On Through’ have been as powerful played on acoustic guitars and filled with vocal harmonies? Curious?
So were James Lee Stanley and Cliff Eberhardt.
These veteran composers/vocalists/musicians teamed up to record an acoustic guitar album like no other, “All Wood and Doors” - 12 classic Doors songs sung and played by Cliff and James, accompanied by an all star line up of highly regarded guest musicians: Timothy B Schmit (the Eagles), Peter Tork (the Monkees), Paul Barrere (Little Feat), Laurence Juber (Paul McCartney & Wings), Scott Breadman (the Rippingtons, Lindsey Buckingham), the truly remarkable Chad Watson (David Arkenstone, Janis Ian).
On Wednesday, November 14 at 7pm, Nick DiBiasio will host a very special live radio concert on Against the Grain, featuring James Lee Stanley and Cliff Eberhardt performing songs from 'All Wood and Doors', as well as songs from their own solo albums in WICN‘s Performance Studio, and you can be a part of our live studio audience.
Admission is free! Make your reservation by calling WICN at 508-752-0700 between the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, or via e-mail to email@example.com.
