Jennifer Sahn and Tamar Adler

Program:
Host:
Date:
Sunday, October 14, 2012 - 9:00pm

Mark welcomes Jennifer Sahn, Editor of Orion Magazine and of the newly published book for the 30th Anniversary of the magazine, "Thirty-Year Plan: Thirty Writers on What We Need To Build a Better Future." Sahn discusses the book and its significance by encouraging people to create positive change in the next thirty years. Later on the program, writer and chef Tamar Adler joins Mark and discuses her new book, "An Everlasting Meal: Cooking with Economy and Grace." Though not technically a cookbook, Adler pushes taking a different approach to food and cooking "that is both simpler and more necessary than we imagine." Be sure to catch the show Sunday, October 14th at 9:30PM.

Al Dean

Al grew up listening to the music of the 40’s on his father’s EH Scott radio and 78 records. Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Benny Goodman were family favorites. This is first experience in the broadcasting field and allows him to dig into his closet of old vinyls and share them with his audience on the Sunday afternoon edition of the Jazz Matinee.
