Jon Faddis Jazz Orchestra of New York at the Kennedy Center

A great arrangement is catnip for this orchestra, once the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band. Jim McNeely arranged "Sing Sing Sing" by Louis Prima. The late Frank Foster arranged "Jingle Bells" and "Giant Steps." Slide Hampton arranged Foster's "Shiny Stockings." Nnennah Freelon sings "I Thought About You" with pianist Ted Rosenthal for the late Dr. Billy Taylor and James Moody. Jon Faddis is the Maestro and trumpet soloist.
