Jon Faddis Jazz Orchestra of New York at the Kennedy Center

Date:
Friday, January 4, 2013 - 6:00pm

A great arrangement is catnip for this orchestra, once the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band. Jim McNeely arranged "Sing Sing Sing" by Louis Prima. The late Frank Foster arranged "Jingle Bells" and "Giant Steps." Slide Hampton arranged Foster's "Shiny Stockings." Nnennah Freelon sings "I Thought About You" with pianist Ted Rosenthal for the late Dr. Billy Taylor and James Moody. Jon Faddis is the Maestro and trumpet soloist.

The Bull Run has been a Tavern for centuries and their  philosophy is simple: use only the freshest ingredients from area small farms and providers; treat the staff and the talent like gold; support the local events and institutions that truly create community; and bring world-class entertainment to Central Massachusetts.
