Jeff Wert adds to his considerable reputation as a military historian
of the Civil War with this excellent biography of the Confederacy's
best cavalry man Jeb Stuart.Stuart figured prominently into many of the
army of Northern Virginias operations.With a keen eye for detail and
narrative prose Wert explores the controversial side of Stuarts
personality as well as his talent for military tactics.He was larger
than life even though that life ended at 31.
