Established by Aaron Richmond in 1938, the Series has evolved into New England's major presenting organization with over 100 performance and outreach activities annually.
Today children spend far less time out of doors than then did 30 years ago. How can we get our kids back outside and have them enjoy the natural world? Tonight’s guests on Inquiry recognized this challenge and decided to create a wonderful idea book of projects and games that young people could do out of doors in all seasons. STACY TORNIO is a teacher, editor, writer and master gardener. KEN KEFFER is a naturalist and environmental educator. Together they have written THE KIDS OUTDOOR ADVENTURE BOOK: 448 GREAT THINGS TO DO IN NATURE BEFORE YOU GROW UP. This wonderful book is chock full of challenges, projects, destinations and even recipes that will get kids to drop the electronics (at least for a little while) and sample some of the pleasures the natural world can offer.
