RUDOLPH Ph.D, Curator of American Art at the Milwaukee Art Museum to talk about the exhibition IN SEARCH OF JULIEN HUDSON: FREE ARTIST OF COLOR IN PRE-CIVIL WAR NEW ORLEANS. Rudolph talks about what we know and don’t know and what we assume about this fascinating American artist; Hudson’s two trips to Paris and what is was like for an artist to work in pre-Civil War New Orleans.
