Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a way for you to make a lasting investment in WICN by planning for WICN in your estate plans. By leaving a gift for WICN in your estate plan, you are sustaining the future of the public radio station you depend on for future generations.

The following information provides an explanation of how you can make a legacy gift to WICN Public Radio.

We encourage you to contact your personal estate planner on what method may be the most advantages to you.

WICN currently accepts the following gifts:

  • Bequest:  A bequest is gift of personal property such as money, stock or bonds owned by a decedent at the time of death which is directed by the provisions of the decedent’s will; a legacy.
  • Securities:  Giving the gift of appreciated securities such as stock, bonds or mutual funds.

As our Planned Giving program continues to grow, please check back for other ways you can leave a legacy with WICN.

If you have already included WICN in your Will, or would like more information, please call us at 508-752-0700 or email membership@wicn.org

Al Dean

Al grew up listening to the music of the 40’s on his father’s EH Scott radio and 78 records. Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Benny Goodman were family favorites. This is first experience in the broadcasting field and allows him to dig into his closet of old vinyls and share them with his audience on the Sunday afternoon edition of the Jazz Matinee.
