Catch Colors Of Jazz as we celebrate the launch of “BosTown Fest: For The Love Of Music” with a three week series highlighting the music-centered, neighborhood block party. BosTown Music Festival runs from 11am to 6pm, Saturday, September 7th on Columbus Avenue between Massachusetts Ave and Douglass Park, in Boston’s South End. Tune in Sunday at 12pm
• August 18th – Bonnie talks with Nia Grace, founder, and curator of the first annual, collaborative event that picks up the torch from the former Beantown Jazz Fest. The proprietor of Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, Ms. Grace shares her vision for presenting BosTown Music Festival.
• August 25th – This week’s program focuses on the cultural impact and legacy of jazz festivals with Dr. Bill Banfield, Director Of The Center For Africana Studies/Liberal Arts and Professor at Berklee College Of Music. Banfield is founder/director of the performing collective JazzUrbane.
• September 1st – TBA/Boston Community leader joins Bonnie to speak further on the importance of the neighborhood collaborative festival.
