  • Week 1 – Feb. 1st-7th (Friday>Thursday)

2/1 Arts Worcester, 15th annual College Show 1st -23rd with awards tonight 6-9pm at their Aurora Gallery on Main Street in Worcester with entertainment by the WPI Jazz Band. The show features 80 submissions from over 200 college applicants in the greater Worcester area in various art mediums. This will be the last show at this location for Arts Worcester, as we look forward to them becoming our neighbors at the Printer’s Building and how fitting their first show in the new location in March will pay tribute to the Printer’s Building’s heritage with Paperphilia a juried exposition of works on paper.
2/1-3 at Hanover Theatre is the Broadway production of Percy Jackson, a musical based from the book series with the same name on Poseidon’s son.

2/1 Pamela Hines the host of WICN's Jazz Matinee with be performing at the Heritage of Sherborn with Suzane Cabot
2/1 HCA (Hopkinton Center for the Arts) open mic featuring folk artist Lindsey Sampson
2/1 The Yoko Miwa trio is playing 6 gigs in February at The Mad Monkfish starting Feb. 1st in Cambridge.
2/1 @ TCAN in Natick will host the Dana Fuchs Band. 

2/1 @ Scullers  jazz pianist Justin Kauflin is performing
2/2 Mauro DePasquale’s Jazzed Up Trio will be at Chen Du in Westboro
2/3 Mechanics Hall – Matt Fraser, psychic medium
2/3 WICN’s Jazz Highway’s host Joe Cicero will be playing pre-game festivities from 3-6 with his duo Limited Faculties at the Progressive Club in Uxbridge.

2/7 @ TCAN, International Guitar Night, 19th year touring of an internationally renowned quartet of acoustic guitarists.

2/8 @ Mechanics Hall annual Valentine’s Dance featuring the Worcester Youth Jazz & Wind Ensembles
2/8 @ Hanover Theatre, 3 Dog Night with Charlie Farren opening.
2/8 & 10 as part of Celebrity Series, Mark Morris Dance Group at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre
2/9 @ Mechanics Hall Simone Dinnerstein, Bach’s Golberg Variations presented by Music Worcester, please note this is a date change. moved up a date from 2/10.
2/9 Valentines for Veterans, a drop-in activity at the Worcester Historical Museum being given to veterans Inc. a shelter in Worcester to be distributed on Valentine’s Day.

2/9 @ Bull Run, 4th annual local players jazz showcase

2/12 Noah Preminger host of WICN’s Noah’s Arc will be performing with Julian Shore at the Beehive in Boston.
2/12 Starting 2/12, every Tuesday in February at Padavana’s Place in Worcester, the newly formed jazz group Wizards of Odd featuring Jim Porcella and Tom Herbert will be performing.
2/14 @ Bull Run, celebrate Valentine’s Day listening to blues legend James Montgomery.

2/15 & 16 Sculler’s in Cambridge will host shows featuring 6-time Grammy winner, David Sanborn

2/17 WICN's Standard Time host Tom Nutile, his band The Tom Nutile Big Band will be the final artists in the Winter Concert Series at Norwood High School

2/20 The opening reception at Ana Maria College of Nancy Diessner’s print exhibition titled “All I want is to be the river though I return again and again to the clouds”

  • Week 4 – Feb. 22nd-28th (Friday.Thursday)

2/22 @ Worcester Pop-up, 1st Hispanic Arts Gallery and opening reception from 6-9pm, the show will be up through 3/23 with a closing reception that evening.
2/23 @ HCA as part of the Arts Around the World Series, Afro Dance with SIMBA African Dance Company
2/23 @ Bull Run, Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles
2/28 the 38th Annual jazz Showcase @ UMass Amherst

Amazing Things in Framingham will be hosting a Jazz Jam & Show every Tuesday evening in February and Folk Open Mic on Thursday the 7th & 21st
