Meeting Dates

WICN Public Radio, Inc., maintains an open meeting policy as required by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Communications Act of 1934. This policy applies to all meetings of the Board of Directors, the Community Advisory Board, and their committees.

Meeting dates, times, and locations for 2018 are listed below. For more information, contact WICN by phone at 508-752-0700 or by visiting WICN at 50 Portland Street, Worcester.

All meetings will be held at the WICN studios at The Printers Building, 50 Portland Street, Worcester, MA. The Board of Directors will meet on each of these dates in 2018 at 5:00 PM:

  • February 20
  • April 17
  • June 19
  • September 18
  • November 13 (Note: This is the second Tuesday of the month)

The Annual Meeting will be held on December 6, 2018 at 5pm.

The Executive Committee will meet as needed.

WICN's Community Advisory Board meets on the following dates at noon, in 2018 at the WICN studios:

Meetings of the WICN Community Advisory Board are held quarterly at noon on the third Thursday at WICN's studios, 50 Portland St., Worcester, MA 01608. Meetings are open to the public, but please call the station beforehand at 508-752-0700 to confirm your attendance.

Per WICN's Corporate Bylaws, the Community Advisory  Board's purpose is "to review the programming goals established by the station, review the service provided by the station, review significant policy decisions rendered by the station, and advise the governing board of the station with respect to whether the programming and other policies of the station are meeting the specialized educational and cultural needs of the communities served by the station... The Advisory Board may make such recommendations as it considers appropriate to the Board of Directors, in order to meet those specialized needs. The Advisory Board shall not have authority to exercise any control over the daily management or operation of the station."
