Bio: For nearly two decades Al Vuona has been the host of “The Public Eye,” and since December 2022, Al has served as Underwriting Manager at WICN.
Al’s love of interviewing guests with diverse backgrounds and experiences has made for some great talk radio. From celebrities and bestselling authors to CEOs and politicians the show has continued to cross boundaries while at the same time informing and entertaining audiences with unique perspectives.
Al’s background in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship has given him a unique perspective on people and issues, as well as in his ability to develop partnerships with Underwriters for WICN. As the Underwriting Manager, Al is able to help local businesses to reach WICN’s loyal audience to aid the growth of these businesses. He also spent eight years as a License Commissioner for the City of Worcester, gaining valuable experience in the inner workings of state and local government.
A public speaker with degrees in business, communications, and economics Al enjoys interacting with an audience. He has given presentations and workshops on effective communications, marketing, sales, and customer service. His love of food and wine has been a mainstay over the years and continues to grow. His “Vino with Al Vuona” wine-tasting seminars which he conducts all over Central MASS are both educational and entertaining.
He is also a freelance writer who has been published in local and national publications such as Wine Enthusiast, Quarterly Review of Wine, Sales and Marketing Management Magazine, and Worcester Magazine. He is currently the wine columnist for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, where his column “Off The Vine” can be found each and every week. Al considers wine, music, a good book, and classic movies as his passions.

Josh is a project designer, community building consultant, and creative producer. Their passion lies in eliminating stigma, sharing stories, and designing experiences that enhance people’s lives and connects them to their communities in ways that bring joy, belonging, and success.
Josh is the founder of Action! by Design, a project design studio that works with organizations to create impactful projects by working with the communities they serve to lead design and innovation efforts.
Josh is also the president and co-founder of nonprofit Love Your Labels that works to eliminate bias, stigma, and shame in society and builds programs for queer and trans youth focused on resiliency building, pride in identity, and economic mobility pathways. They also host and produce Public Hearing Podcast featuring stories of human experience at the intersection of design and technology.
Their client projects have received awards and recognition including Best of Innovation at CES, Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Award, and Oprah’s Favorite Things.
