Ethan K Band

The Ethan K Band is a blend of contemporary music styles centered on Jazz and delivered in the Jazz tradition. Though you may be as likely to hear a familiar Bob Marley song as you would a tune by George Gershwin. All this and some original music are played just a little bit funky but completely with a devil-may-care attitude, making for some pretty cool modern jazz.

Nate Aronow Nextet

The Nate Aronow Nextet full-tilt six-piece band returns to the Ryles stage with its unique brand of original and cover fusion, contemporary jazz, funk and Latin styles. A combination of very cool writing and arranging, along with some of the best rhythm and horn players in the Hub create a highly entertaining show with a ton of musical depth, a lot of groove, unexpected musical twists, plus a bit of humor and a pinch of attitude. Sunday Brunch with Jazz Continuum

Chamber jazz: n. - an imaginative conversation of music in a myriad of styles (bebop, swing, stride, bossa nova, samba, waltz, blues, ballad...) that makes a perfect backdrop for Sunday brunch. Jazz Continuum: n. – A group of improvisational musicians who come together to carry on conversations in the framework of chamber jazz.  Mike Valdez (piano), Brett Baker (guitar),  and Steve Conahan (bass).

John Matrona Jazz Band

This amazing ensemble consists of pianist John Matrona, percussionist Alan Stones, and bassist Jay Matrona. Percusionist Alan Stones has performed in genes ranging from classical to rock and roll. John Matrona, Berkeley College of Music graduate, performs regularly at Boston’s Hyatt Harborside Hotel, Newburyport’s Joseph’s Winter St. Café, and New England Continental Orchestras. He has also worked with the Arthur Bakopolus Jazz Quintet and flutist Mike Finegold. Jay Matrona, sitar performer, has studied in NY, Arizona, and India.

Saturday Brunch with Sue Howard and Dick Judah

Sue Howard plays both piano and organ. After receiving a degree in music for piano, Sue played lounges and restaurants all over MS, TX, RI and NH. Dick Judah has been an acoustic bass player for over 40 years, mainly playing mainstream jazz. The duo play beautiful, fun music. You don’t want to miss!
