Con Chapman & Tom Siegfried

November 8, 2020

He was a jazz musician who remains “a bit of a mystery”, even though he was a long-time member of the Duke Ellington orchestra and teamed up with other key jazz musicians of his time. Tonight on Inquiry, we talk with writer and jazz writer CON CHAPMAN about his new biography: RABBITS’ BLUES: THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF JOHNNY HODGES.

How many worlds are in our universe? How big is the universe? How does the universe “work”? These are questions that have been pondered since the time of Ancient Greece. Today cosmologists are considering whether there are “multi-universes”, but many of the questions they are wrestling with originally were posed in ancient times. Tonight on Inquiry we talk with former Editor-in-Chief of Science News and award-winning science writer TOM SIEGFRIED. We will be discussing his new book: THE NUMBER OF THE HEAVENS: A HISTORY OF THE MULTIVERSE AND THE QUEST TO UNDERSTAND THE COSMOS
