Her new book is BEASTS BEFORE US: THE UNTOLD STORY OF MAMMAL ORIGINS AND EVOLUTION, a surprising re-evaluation of the prehistoric lineage of mammals going all the way back to the Permian. Along the way, Dr. Panciroli writes about a new world of paleontology, using tools like CT scans.
