Kenneth Catania & Gary Golio

April 18, 2021

Tonight’s guest on Inquiry is KENNETH CATANIA. He is the Stevenson Professor of Biological Sciences at Vanderbuilt University. Throughout his career he has studied the sensory adaptations of some very strange creatures like the Star-nosed Mole, the Tentacled Snake, and the Electric Eel. He has even looked into why Worm Grunting works. All these amazing tales of true research science are found in his new book GREAT ADAPTATIONS: STAR-NOSED MOLES, ELECTRIC EELS, AND OTHER TALES OF EVOLUTION’S MYSTERIES SOLVED.

Tonight on Inquiry we talk with GARY GOLIO, fine artist, musician, writer, and psychotherapist. We will be talking about his latest book, part of his long series about musicians and artists for young readers: DARK WAS THE NIGHT: BLIND WILLIE JOHNSON’S JOURNEY TO THE STARS.
